The Educational Television Program provides public school teachers in rural areas with television-assisted instruction material. It is a partnership with ABS-CBN Foundation and the Department of Education.
Studies show that the cognitive and moral development of children is significantly enhanced through the use of multimedia instructional materials.
The program benefits selected public schools in far-flung areas located in SuperFerry ports of call who are greatly affected by the scarcity of educational material.
By December 2008, there will be 100 educational TV packages in 100 public elementary schools benefiting over 100,000 students across 9 regions in the Visayas and Mindanao islands.
